When an individual applies to an Emmaus trip and requests Emmaus to assign them a roommate, Emmaus will make every effort to assign you a roommate since, in most cases, there are others on the trip also needing a roommate assigned. Under certain circumstances, as in a family group, you may be assigned to a triple roommate arrangement, comprising a room of three persons with individual beds. 

On some occasions, Emmaus may not able to accommodate someone without a roommate. If this applies to your individual circumstance you will have the option to pay the single room supplement fee designated for your trip or you may withdraw from the trip prior to 90 days of departure without any financial penalty and receive a full refund.

As a matter of policy, Emmaus encourages everyone to find a friend, relative or acquaintance that might want to attend the trip with you as your traveling companion and roommate.
